Let me introduce you to Ghundinjar - the whale, my totem, and the heart of my business. See, I'm a mix of two worlds - the saltwater and the red dirt mob. Saltwater's been my playground for most of my life, feeding my soul with its rhythm and flow.
My grandma, Vida Nardaparli, once told me a story that stuck with me ever since. It's about Ghundinjar seeking permission from our elders to dwell in Gadu (the Ocean), a request granted because Ghundinjar embodies Gadu lore. She's a symbol of rebirth and protection, her song echoing across land and sea.
Those childhood memories of waiting on the cliffs during Ghundinjar's birthing seasons? They still fill me with awe. Her song nourishes my spirit, especially when I'm far from home.
My art? It's all about saltwater Dreamtime stories, inspired by the deep connection between land, sea, and spirit.
And that's where Nardaparli’s Creations comes in. It's my way of bringing those saltwater dreams to life and shaking up the 21st-century fashion scene. As a little girl, I dreamed of strutting down fashion runways. Now, as a woman, I dream of seeing my artwork gracing those same runways, blending traditional storytelling with modern style.
